		<description>So true.  I remember one sales staff being so pumped that they had convinced a particular client to spend 100% of his budget for a particular event on radio....one station. This was the same sales staff that was trained to position themselves as the customers&#039; marketing consultant. &quot;We want to learn about your business and help you find solutions.&quot; Yet, they had no trouble taking all the money, even though that certainly couldn&#039;t have been  the best solution for the client.</description>

		<description>As a long time radio professional, I find you are absolutely right on the mark.  Of course, there are good radio salespeople too. But, with any media, the day has come where their world is changing.  Some tend to operate out of fear and that&#039;s when you see these habits really start to creep up.

But, as my Nana says, the proof is in the pudding.  The 80/20 rule applies.  Due to these habits, 80 percent will not make it and will wash out, never to be remembered.  Then, there is the 20...their names and deeds are remembered by their clients and their co-workers...and good things happen.</description>
