Hiya!
Breakthrough’s a funny thing. You don’t really know the line until you’ve passed it. It’s been exciting for our practice - traveling to Europe, Canada and all over the United States these past few years, and we’re really excited about what the next few have in store, too.
Now, with clients in the U.S., the U.K., Canada and Australia, it’s time to grow to better serve the friends and clients who helped get us to this point.
Beginning June 1, I’m adding a partner and operations manager to the Wizard of Ads practice. Ryan Patrick is a 14-year veteran of helping owner-operated companies grow businesses the right way. He’s written and produced thousands of advertisements, but better still - he’s a good man and a good friend. We’ve known each other for twenty years.
Better still - like my wife, he’s a meticulously organized, SJ-type who’s never met a checklist he couldn’t conquer or a deadline he couldn’t beat. In fact, some who know us would argue he was my first wife.
Now, I’m surrounded on both sides by responsible left-brain types who can only improve our practice as it slowly becomes a business.
It’s weird, but it’s a great weird. Know what I’m saying?
Thank you for your encouragement and patience through these past few months of not-always-so-great weirdness. Things are about to get really interesting.
I’ll be introducing him to many of you over the next weeks and months. He’ll be the one making sure Wizard of Ads is practically boring in its dependability.
(And no, it doesn’t mean our rates are going up. : ) - We only grow if you grow … same as always.)
If you have any questions, please let Dee or me know. Thanks so much!
Hope all’s well with you, too.

Congratulations and welcome to Ryan! (You need a meticulously organized secretary now?)
Jake: Here’s the plan: we put the band back together, do some gigs, earn some bread, bang! We’ll have 5,000 bucks in no time.
Elwood: Well, getting the band back together might not that be all that easy, Jake.
Jake: What are you talking about?
Elwood: They split. They all took straight jobs.
Jake: Yeah, so you know where they are.
Elwood: I do?
Jake: Yeah. You told me that you were keeping in touch with them.
Elwood: Well… I got a couple of leads and a few phone numbers but…
