Welcome to The Daily Blur

Is your life a bit of a blur? A busy blend of thats and thiseseses?

Me? I’m a work-at-home-dad-writer-cook-repairman-designer-consultant-speaker-playmate-and-way-more-but-I’m-afraid-my-hyphen-button-might-break.

And that was just yesterday.

That’s it, really: Too many hyphens. If that’s you, too, this is your kinda place. The Daily Blur will be a quick respite of useful somethings for useful somethings.

A place for pause. A very, very quick but necessary pause.

Helpful stuff. Productive stuff. Sometimes decidedly more serious than others because sometimes a pause needs to be a break, too.

I tried to describe my goal to my very tiny inner circle as Real Simple for Small Business.

Lynn Peisker put it this way:

If it’s me, what I want is:

A colleague who understands my multi-faceted life. That I do not particulate my life but that it all swirls together. I work, I parent, I friend, and I need someone in my life who gets that and who feeds me the info, humor, ideas and cautionary tales that keep me on track.

I want to be sharper, funnier and more in the know because I checked in with you first thing today. I want something to think on.

It’s just keeping it all together, in focus and making forward progress towards my goal of peace in my home, wealth in my life and a better planet for everyone.

Amen. She’s pretty smart, huh? She always has been.

Me? My alarm goes off at 3:30 to try to get it all done. I have a 5-year-old son with special needs and a 2-month-old daughter that keeps us tipping and toeing across the pins and needles.

And somehow I’ve managed to advise more than 300 small businesses over these past fifteen years. I’ve created ads that have run in eight countries. I’ve spoken about the subject and listened to really smart questions from business owners across North America.

Info, humor, ideas, and cautionary tales. Lots of cautionary tales. And hyphens.

Here you’ll find discussions about the little things that make us better people and about being bigger boys.

So. Welcome. I hope you stick around. I hope you subscribe to get daily updates sent to your RSS reader or have them emailed to your inbox. I hope you leave a quick comment now and again. I hope you join the conversation.

Please. Make yourself comfortable for a minute or two. I know you’re busy.

Welcome back! If you don't already, maybe you'd like to consider subscribing to my RSS feed or have new posts emailed directly to your inbox. Thanks for visiting again!

Thanks, Sarah! We don’t advertise this but The Daily Blur is chock-full of antioxidants to promote brain function. It’s also gluten, casein, and sugar free so it’s safe for kids, too. Tell your friends. :)
